Text: Isaiah 45:22
Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. (NRSV)
God does not just call a few to be saved. God calls “all the ends of the earth”. God says, “Turn to me and be saved.” We talk about the chosen people of God. And this is true, God chooses peoples to represent him to an unbelieving world. But this call is not a call that makes these peoples an elite and ruling class, this call is a call to service that seeks to reveal God to “all the ends of the earth.”
Jesus says that the greatest in the Kingdom of God will be a servant to all. God’s desire is that all be saved, and he has chosen a people to reveal this good news, this gospel message, to an unbelieving world. It is when the Body of Christ the Church serves God by offering God’s love to a broken and sinful world, that we have truly become the people of God that God has called us to be.
How are you revealing the love of God to the lost? How does your life call a broken community to turn to God? In what ways do you live differently than those who do not know God, that others might see something in you that gives them hope in the one true God who loves them?

God of my salvation, the One True God, I offer my life as one who claims to be a part of your Church the Body of Christ on earth. Empower me to live my life in ways that draw the lost to turn and look to you that they might be saved. I pray this in the name of the One who gave his life for me, Jesus the Christ. AMEN.
